First off, Happy New Year to all the Great Thunderwolves Fans! Our second edition of the Bell Varsity Cup is now over and the UNB Varsity Reds emerged as the Champions of this year's edition; they displayed agreat transitional game, speed, defense and excellent goaltending by Reg Bourcier. TheCalgary Dinos were also a great finalist as they lost 1-0 , but showed great work ethic, and both physical and team play. We were also very happy to have more fans attend the games than in our first year. Thanks to the best fans in CIS hockey and CIS varsity sports! We were not able to make it to the finals as our 2-1 record goals for and against put us in third position.

Regina Series: I am surprised by Regina's record as they showed us a very fast skating, physical team who never stopped working from minute #1 to minute #60...which is why both games were so close.

The Bell Tourney and the Regina series showed that we (Thunderwolves) have to get back to the basics and improve our defensive zone coverage, breakouts, backchecking, passing ...pass receiving and most of all...finishing scoring on our opportunities.

Windsor Series: We now have a great rivalry with the Windsor Lancers, and our two gamesagainst themshoweda fast, well coached Lancer team; Coach Vern Stenlund has them playing very well and they come very hard at us. This will be a great series for our fans at the Gardens!
