A great time was had by all at the inaugural Thunderwolves Corporate Hockey Tournament held last weekend at the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre. Over 70 participants joined former and present Thunderwolves players to form six teams in pursuit of the Lakehead Cup championship trophy.
The winning team was the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre squad led by Kyle Bushby. The other team members were Bryan Duce, Jake Busniuk, Neal Purdon, Kevin Leveque, Glen Brown, Rod Brescia, Mike Shields, Keith Nutley, Bruce Tait, and Alex Dampier
Thunderwolves Executive Director Jason Mallon said the first tournament was a huge success. The inaugural Thunderwolves Corporate Hockey Tournament was a huge success over the May 3rd, 4th, and 5th weekend. The goal of the tournament was to make sure everyone who participated enjoyed themselves on and off the ice. Players like Joel Scherban, Bryan Duce, and Grant McCune represented the program and fun was had by all. This will be the first of many tournaments for years to come.
Other Lakehead players taking part were Mike Wehrstedt, Murray Magill, and Peter Cava.
