Four Wolves selected to OUA All-Star teams

Four members of the Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team received major OUA post-season awards for the 2011-12 season.


Sophomore defenceman Mike Quesnele (Sault St. Marie, ON) was selected to the First Team All-Stars, while junior forward Matt Caria (Sault St. Marie, ON) and freshman defenceman Mitch Fillman (Oakville, ON) were chosen for the Second Team All-Stars.


Fillman was also named to the All-Rookie team along with freshman forward Mike Hammond (Victoria, B.C).


Quesnele was the Wolves top-scoring defenceman this season with 35 points in 40 games played, while Caria totaled 39 points in only 31 games. Hammond was the teams top scorer with 42 points in 42 games, and finished third in OUA scoring for rookies. Fillman amassed 27 points in 41 games for the Thunderwolves this year.
