Lancers Down Thunderwolves 3-2

The No. 5 Lakehead Thunderwolves dropped the first of their two game series by a 3-2 score against their OUA Far West opponent Windsor Lancers Saturday night at the Heinz Arena in Leamington, Ontario. The loss puts Lakehead's OUA record at 10-3-0-0 (18-11-1-1 overall) while Windsor's OUA mark goes to 6-6-1. Hugo Lehoux and Sean Stefanski scored for the Thunderwolves while Graem Lindsay, Jason Melo, and Kyle Trudell scored for the Lancers.

The Thunderwolves have consistently outshot their opponents but have had difficulty putting the puck in the net. The loss was rookie goaltender Chris Whitley's first of the regular season; putting his OUA record at 6-1. Lakehead outshot Windsor 29-25 in the game.
