McDonald wins Molson Cup

Lakehead Thunderwolves sophomore forward Ryan McDonald (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) is the winner of the Molson Cup trophy for the 2010-11 hockey season.


Finishing behind McDonald in second place in the Molson Cup standings is sophomore forward Matt Caria (Sault St. Marie, Ontario), followed in third position by senior forward Kris Hogg, (Sicamous, B.C.) who won the Molson Cup last year. All three players will have their names inscribed on the trophy, and will also receive prize packs from Molson Canada.


Molson Cup points are awarded to players that are selected as the Molson Three Stars after every Thunderwolves hockey home game. Five points are awarded for a first star selection, three points for a second star, and two points for a third star.


The top five finishers in the Molson Cup race for the 2010-11 season are as follows:

McDonald will be awarded the Molson Cup at the Fort William Gardens in a pre-game ceremony at a game early next season.
