Lakehead Thunderwolves mens hockey and Executive Director Jason Mallon are very pleased to announce that the inaugural Thunderwolves Corporate Hockey Tournament will kick off tonight (Thursday. May 3rd) with a draft of all participating players.
The tournament gives Wolves fans, aged 30 or over, the opportunity to meet and play hockey with their favourite players from the Thunderwolves; present and past. The three-day event features the draft night, two days of great hockey action, as well as lots of great prizes for the participants. Hockey action will run Friday and Saturday at the Tournament Centre in Thunder Bay.
The tourney will feature Lakehead players present and past such as Mike Wehrstedt, Joel Scherban, Murray Magill, Grant McCune, Bryan Duce, and Peter Cava.
Mallon said the new event is a great opportunity for Lakehead fans to play with their favourite Thunderwolves player in an enjoyable and social setting. The Thunderwolves Corporate Hockey Tournament was designed to be a fun event where all skill levels can get together and have some fun on the ice. It gives fans and supporters the chance to play with their favorite past and current Thunderwolves players and have a great time doing it.
