The Lakehead Thunderwolves Summer Hockey school camps return again for another fantastic summer giving Northwestern Ontario girls and boys the perfect opportunity to fine tune their hockey skills in a fun hockey atmosphere with coaches and players from the Lakehead Thunderwolves mens hockey team. The school attracted more than 700 boys and girls last season; making it one of the largest hockey schools in the region.

School Director, and Lakehead Head Coach, Pete Belliveau said players and their parents can expect another summer of top notch hockey instruction. We will be holding our fourth Summer Hockey School camps and we will endeavour to teach our young prospects the finer skills and work ethic of this great game. We will combine teaching techniques and discipline so these young boys and girls can learn and have fun while enjoying the game.

There will be 24 camps running this summer in Thunder Bay and Kenora for boys and girls aged 6-16 of all skill levels. The schools programs will include all aspects of the game; skating, shooting, checking, stick handling, passing, skills development, team play, and Powerade High Performance camps. There will even be high performance camps where players receive specific instruction for goalies, defensemen, and forwards. Various camps will run in Kenora from July 24th to August 4th and in Thunder Bay from August 7th to September 15th.

This years instructors include past and present Thunderwolves players and coaches such as Joel Scherban, Tyler Williamson, Chris Whitley, Dan Speer, Tobias Whelan, Darren Nicholas, Dan Bissonette, and Paul Mackett.
