Wolves Down Badgers 5-2

The No. 6 Lakehead Thunderwolves skated past the Brock Badgers by a 5-2 score before 2950 fans at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay on Friday night. Lakehead's goals came from Peter Cava, Jason Lange, Jeff Richards, Andrew Brown, and Joel Scherban. The Thunderwolves outshot the Badgers 39-27 on the night.

Lakehead is now tied for first in the OUA Far West Division with the No. 5 Western Mustangswith both teams sitting at 29 points apiece while Waterloo is in third with 24. The Thunderwolves now have a 14-6-1 OUA record (22-14-2-1 overall) while Brock has a 6-13-1-1 OUA mark.

Scherban's goal now puts him at 196 overall points; four shy of the 200 point mark.

The two teams face off again Saturday night with the game being televised live by Thunder Bay Television-CTV Channel 4-Cable 6 in Thunder Bay and carried nationally on Star Choice Satellite Television on Channel 314. TBT-CTV's Bryan Wyatt and Chris Prystanki will be calling all the action with the pre-game show getting underway at 7:00 pm EST.
