Wolves Earn Split with Warriors with 4-1 win

The Lakehead Thunderwolves split their weekend series with the Waterloo Warriors by posting a 4-1 win in Waterloo Saturday afternoon. Scoring for the Thunderwolves were Chris Shaffer, Peter Cava, Mark Robinson, and Joel Scherban. Kevin Hurley replied for the Warriors. Lakehead rookie netminder Chris Whitley recorded the win in his first CIS regular season start.

Lakehead's record goes to 1-1-0-0 in OUA play (7-3-1-1 overall) while Waterloo's record sits at 1-1-0-0 in league play and 5-2-0-0 overall. Lakehead sees action again next weekend when it hosts the Windsor Lancers for two games at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay.
