A Thunder Bay native stole the show in Oshawa on Friday night, but unfortunately for Lakehead, he wasnt a member of the Thunderwolves as Ontario Tech goaltender Colin Dzijacky turned aside 37 shots to steal a 1-0 victory for the Ridgebacks at the Campus Ice Centre.

After a scoreless first period in which Lakehead outshot the Ridgebacks 13-7, Ontario Tech forward James Woodcroft beat Lakehead netminder Jeff Bosch for the only goal of the game at the 14:30 mark of the second stanza.

Shots on goal were even at 12 aside in the middle frame.

Lakehead applied furious pressure at times in the third period, outshooting Ontario Tech by a 12-7 margin, but it was the Wolves inability to solve Dzijacky that led to the Ridgebacks win in a game that saw both goaltenders make their fair share of big saves.

In the final tally, Lakehead outshot Ontario Tech 37-26 for the game.

Despite the loss, the Wolves remain in a three-way tie with Windsor and Toronto for first place in the OUA West Division with a conference record of 9-2.

The Wolves and Ridgebacks will take to the ice again tomorrow night in Oshawa beginning at 7:30.
