A stellar 36-save effort from Warriors goaltender Keaton Hartigan closed the door on the CIS No. 4 Lakehead Thunderwolves as they were swept in their two-game series following a 3-1 Saturday night loss at the Columbia Icefields Arena at Waterloo, Ontario. No. 10 Waterloo won the teams' Friday night contest 3-2.

With the loss, the Thunderwolves drop to 7-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the OUA regular season. The host Warriors improve to 8-3-0 overall and 6-1-1 in OUA play.

Scoring for the Thunderwolves was Dan Speer, who tallied in the third period on the powerplay on assists from Scott Dobben and Brock McPherson.

The Warriors got goals from Chris Ray in the first period with Thomas Cardiff and Cory Fraser added third period markers.

Lakehead lost despite outshooting the Warriors 37-21 while both teams had some powerplay success as the Wolves went 1-6 and the Warriors, 1-5.

The Pack will head back to Thunder Bay to regroup as they prepare for a four-game homestand starting next weekend when they host the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, Friday and Saturday night. Both games faceoff at 7:30pm.
