Thunderwolves Hockey, Lakehead University and TBayTel are pleased to present the fourth annual Varsity Cup to be played December 28th through to December 31st, 2006.  Hosted by the Lakehead University Thunderwolves, the Varsity Cup brings together four of Canada's top university men's hockey teams to compete in a round robin tournament, with the top two finishers battling in a one game final for the Cup.

This year, tournament organizers have secured the University of Calgary Dinos, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, and the University of Toronto Varsity Blues to compete for the Cup with Thunder Bay’s Lakehead University Thunderwolves.

This year's tournament will follow a round-robin format with each team playing the others over the course of the first 3 days.  December 31st will see the teams with the two best records facing off to be tournament champions.
