SCHERBAN RENEWED FOR THREE MORE YEARS

Lakehead University and Thunderwolves Hockey are pleased to announce that Head Coach Joel Scherban’s contract has been renewed for another three years.

Lakehead Athletic Director Tom Warden is happy to have Scherban secured as the Wolves bench-boss for three more seasons.  “I’m excited that Joel will be here to continue to build on the strong foundation that he has developed so far,” Warden said.  “He’s the right guy to lead us to a championship.”

Scherban relishes the opportunity to command the team for another three seasons.  “I’m eager to carry on in my role as Head Coach of Thunderwolves Hockey as our organization continues to grow both on and off the ice,” Scherban said.  We have a solid core of players returning, and I’m pleased to be able to prepare them for success in academics as well as athletics.    The OUA is as strong as I’ve seen it in my eleven years of involvement, and I look forward to the challenge of trying to capture our second Queen’s Cup.”
