Total Hockey Skills Improvement
  • Perfecting offensive skills of skating, puck control, passing and shooting
  • Developing defensive skills in game-like drills
  • Focusing on hockey fundamentals, fitness, and fun.
  • Applying all skills in mini games

 

 

Skating, Shooting & Stickhandling

Skating instruction to improve balance, agility, speed, turning, pivoting and stopping

High tempo drills to improve both forward and backwards skating

Stickhandling instruction to improve puck control (stationary and moving)

Instruction on shooting including wrist shot, backhand, flip shot, snap shot

Practice shooting for accuracy and power

Application of skills in mini-games

Skating and Puck Control

  • Skating instruction to improve balance, agility, speed, turning, pivoting, and stopping.
  • High tempo drills to develop both forward and backwards skating 
  • Stickhandling instruction to improve puck control (stationary and moving)
  • Mini games applying the key skills of skating and stickhandling

 

Skating & Shooting To Score
  • Skating instruction to improve balance, agility, speed, turning, pivoting, and stopping
  • High tempo drills to improve both forward and backwards skating
  • Instruction on shooting including wrist shot, backhand, flip shot, snap shot
  • Practice shooting for accuracy and power
  • Application of skills in mini games
  • *Note - Camps #1 and #2 are identical (just different time slots)

 

Power Skating Camp
  • Drills for acceleration and speed
  • Forward and backwards skating (striding and crossovers)
  • Drills for turning, pivoting, and stopping 
  • Balance and agility training
  • Skating improvement through high tempo drills 
  • * Note - Jerseys are not included in the power skating camp*
High Performance and Conditioning Camp

Designed for players and goalies wishing to try out for AA level teams

  • High tempo battling drills (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3)
  • Conditioning drills to improve cardio fitness
  • Contact drills to develop physical play confidence
  • Read and react game situation drills 
  • Drills introducing individual and team tactics
  • Full ice games and corrections
  • Goaltender Review and practice all technical aspects
  • Defensemen Offensive / Defensive responsibilities in all 3 zones
  • Forwards Offensive / Defensive responsibilities in all 3 zones
Goalie Camp

Featuring Chris Whitley (Thunderwolves goalie)

One hour per day on-ice and one hour per day dryland conditioning and drills

Drills for improving:

Positioning, stance, angles, lateral movement, conditioning, tracking the shooter, controlling rebounds, reacting/positioning for 2nd shot opportunities, puck handling and passing, skating skills, game preparation. 

 

Defenceman Camp

 

  • Defenceman skating drills
  • Defenceman puck control
  • Defending 1on 1, 2 on 1, 3 on1, 2 on 2, 3 on 2
  • Read and react game situations
  • Defensive zone coverage, corners, front of net, behind the net
  • Transition situations
Checking Camp 2

*Note: Checking Camps #1 and #2 are identical

Skating for checking

Angling, positioning, and containment drills

Proper positioning to give and receive body checks

Drills for fair play checking and safety

Different types of checks (stick check, hip check, shoulder check)
