The four divisions (Far East, Mid-East, Mid-West, Far West) will be made up of the following two inter-divisions for playoff competition:
East – Mid East & Far East West – Mid West & Far West
The top six (6) teams in each inter-division will qualify for the playoffs. The four (4) division winners will automatically be seeded #1-2 in each inter-division based on regular season standings. The remaining top four (4) teams in each inter-division will be seeded #3 through 6 based on regular season standings.
The higher seeded team has home ice advantage for two of the three games (including Game 3). The higher seeded team will host game one and three, if necessary. If travel is a factor, the first place team will be home team for games two and three, if necessary.
FIRST ROUND (best of three) Division winners receive a first round bye #6 East vs. #3 East #5 East vs. #4 East #6 West vs. #3 West #5 West vs. #4 West
QUARTER-FINALS (best of three) Lower ranked East (#3-#6) vs. #1 East Remaining East (#3-#6) vs. #2 East Lower ranked West (#3-#6) vs. #1 West Remaining West (#3-#6) vs. #2 West
SEMI-FINALS (best of three) East Division Final – East quarter-final winners West Division Final – West quarter-final winners
QUEEN’S CUP CHAMPIONSHIP (single game) East Division Winners vs. West Division Winners (at home of highest ranked remaining Ontario team)
The highest place finishers during the regular schedule will always have the extra home game regardless of who wins a particular series.
