Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team are pleased to announce that forward Scott Gall of Morden, Manitoba has committed to the program.

The 62, 200-pound winger played four seasons for the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. His final two years in Winkler were highly productive as he tallied 61 points in 56 games in 2015-16, followed by a 50-point campaign in just 44 contests last season, which was enough to lead his team in scoring despite missing 16 games.

Coach Bill McDonald is pleased to have Gall joining the team in the fall. Scott has a big body and good hands, and were excited to add another power forward to our line-up, McDonald said. Hes been a consistent goal scorer, and the majority of them came from the hard areas around the net. He added, Assistant Coach Andrew Wilkins and I were both impressed with his character during the recruiting process."

Gall, who will be enrolling in the Lakehead School of Business, said I am beyond excited to be part of the Thunderwolves hockey program, and I hope to contribute by using my size and ability to get into the tight scoring areas. He went on to add, The coaching staff treated me with nothing but class on my recruiting visit. The team has a lot of community support and Im grateful for the opportunity to better myself as a both a player and a student at Lakehead.
