Despite missing the last nine games of the season with a knee injury, Lakehead Thunderwolves junior forward Cody Alcock (Oshawa, ON) is the winner of the Molson Cup trophy for the 2015-16 season.
Molson Cup points are awarded to players that are selected as the Molson Three Stars after Thunderwolves hockey home games. Five points are awarded for a first star selection, three points for a second star, and two points for a third star.
Finishing behind Alcock in second place in the Molson Cup standings was freshman goalie Devin Green (Calgary, AB), followed in third position by senior forward Kelin Ainsworth (Thunder Bay, ON). All three players will have their names inscribed on the trophy.
This will be the second time that Alcocks name will go on the trophy after finishing second in the Molson Cup standings as a freshman.
