Lakehead did not get the start they where looking for to begin the season dropping a 5-2 decision to the Brock Badgers.

Lakehead's Noah Massie took a double minor for kneeing early in the first and Brock would capitalize on it Tyler Burnie would slip one past Max Wright to open the scoring.

Just past the mid way point of the period Brock would add to there lead when Matthew Riva would deflect one past Max Wright to make it 2-0 after the 1st.

The second period would see Ethan Sims up the Badgers lead to 3-0after finding the back of the net midway through the period.

The Badgers would go up 4-0 on a Justin Barrack goal. But the Wolves would fight back with a pair of goals of their own. First Joe Mack would tip one home to cut the lead to 4-1. Ben Badalamenti would convert a drop pass from Olivier Pouliot in traffic to cut the Badger lead to 2.

That would be as close as they would get as Tyler Burnie would get his second goal of the game scoring from his own blue line into an empty net to make the final 5-2 for Brock.

Max Wright would stop 27 of 31 shots in the contest.
