Lakehead Athletics and Thunderwolves Athletics Director Tom Warden are very proud to announce that Steve Bailot has been named the Strength and Conditioning Coach for all of Lakeheads varsity teams.

This new appointment comes in addition to Bailot returning for his second year in the same position with the Thunderwolves mens hockey team.

Warden said he has known Bailot for a long time as a student, athlete, and professional and knows that Steve gives 100% in everything he does. Steve brings commitment and excellence to everything he does and we are very proud to have him as our overall Lakehead varsity Strength and Conditioning coach.

Bailot graduated from Lakehead with a degree in Science - Kinesiology and is an incorporated Strength Coach and Personal Trainer.

Bailot said he is pumped to be the new Lakehead Strength and Conditioning Coach. Im really happy to have this opportunity and I think its a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Im really looking forward to working with the various athletes from all the different teams as they will pose unique and interesting challenges to me in terms of training. Id like to thank Tom Warden for this wonderful opportunity.

Bailot was also one of the "pioneers"; a member of the Thunderwolves mens hockey program inaugural season squad in 2001-02. He also works as a trainer at The Athletic Club in Thunder Bay and enjoys working out and golfing in his free time.
