Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey and the Lakehead Alumni Association will be presenting the first annual Blue Gold game when the McGill Redmen come to town to take on the Thunderwolves on Dec. 1st. The Lakehead Alumni Association is the official game night sponsor of the game.

All Lakehead alumni, staff are encouraged to wear blue and gold Lakehead colours at the game. Additionally, all Lakehead alumni can go to the Lakehead Alumni Office on the Lakehead campus and register with the Alumni Association and get a voucher which will get the alumni in for the senior ticket price of eight dollars.

Alumni can also bring their old student card to the Fort William Gardens Box office and get in for the reduced price. Staff can bring their staff card and also get in at the lower price.

The first 500 fans wearing blue and gold will also receive free blue and gold pom-poms to help cheer on the Wolves.

Thunderwolves Hockey Executive Director Jason Mallon said, Our goal is to turn the blue and gold game into annual event. We want as many alumni, students and staff to come out and wear their Lakehead colours and show their support for their school.

Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey and CIBC Imperial Service are very happy to announce that they will be presenting the annual and very popular Teddy Bear Toss during the Thunderwolves vs. McGill Redmen on Dec. 2nd. CIBC Imperial Service is the official game night sponsor for the game.

All Lakehead fans are encouraged to bring new or like-new teddy bears and stuffed animals of any type which they will then get to toss onto the ice after the first Lakehead goal against the Redmen. All the stuffed animals and toyswill be given to needy children in the Thunder Bay area this holiday season.

Thunderwolves Hockey Executive Director Jason Mallon said, The CIBC Imperial Service Teddy Bear Toss game has turned into a fan favourite. It is so exciting and so much fun to watch all those teddy bears get thrown onto the ice and the best part of all is the bears go to the Salvation Army, the Christmas Cheer Fund and Dilico Child Services.
