As the regular season gets closer our team keeps showing positive signs. Although we did not play our best game against Michigan Tech, it was a good experience for the guys. The road trip provided us with some more time to gel together and gave us an opportunity to see the level of play we want to be at.

Once again, after losing a game, we rebounded and came up with two hardfought wins against a very good St.FX team. They are the reigning national champions for a reason and showed us that we can't afford to play a lacklustre period. After falling behind two goals on a couple of occasions we showed the heart I was expecting to see and battled back for an overtime win on Sunday. On Monday the team played three solid periods in the 3-1 victory. Defensively it was probably our best performance of the year.

This weekend we again have a very good test. The Huskies are off to a quick start in Canada West so these two games should be extremely competitive. We have already played teams from the OUA,the Atlantic, and the NCAA,and now look forward to playing a top team from the West.

See you at the Gardens this weekend.
