CIBC has teamed up with Thunder Bay Boys and Girls Club to make this Christmas a special one for five local kids. The lucky children will participate in the Thunderwolves Mid-Season Skills Improvement Hockey Camp, December 28-31 at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay after writing short essays describing why they wanted to attend the hockey school.

The kids, and their fellow campers in the Atom, IP1, Novice and PeeWee groups will receive instruction for developing skating, stick handling, puck control, passing, and shooting skills with the entire camp focusing on fundamentals, fitness and fun.

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay, we are committed to levelling the playing field so that all youth can experience recreational opportunities that exist in our community, says Albert Aiello, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay. Through the generosity of CIBC we have established a partnership that will aid our organization in reaching out into the community, providing positive, supervised, quality experiences in which our members can learn and grow from. It takes a village to raise a child - we are proud to have CIBC as part of our village.

CIBC is proud to partner with the Thunder Bay Boys and Girls Club in providing the Lakehead University Thunderwolves hockey school donations to local youth, says Jason Bociurko, general manager for the CIBCs Thunder Bay district. This is the first year that Ive had an opportunity to work with Albert and his team. They are certainly committed to helping children develop the necessary skills that will enable them to make a difference within their communities. Its a first class organization and CIBC is proud to be involved in such a worthy cause.
