We played a very well coached team in the Waterloo Warriors 03/04 edition; they played very well in game 2 as they stuck to their game plan for three periods, and to their credit executed a very good trap off our breakouts.

We lost most of the 1:1 battles in this first period and shots on goal reflected our soft play as the shots were 7:7; we played much better in second half of the game as we played the game in their end zone in working their defensemen down low.

Our fourth line of (Kuokkanen, Cooper and Wycisk ) was our catalyst as they got us on the board first which put more fire in our play. Wwe were able to play four lines all weekend and we believe it allowed us to carry the play in the third period as we outshot them 29-2. We were very impressed with Waterloo's coaching staff; they are going in the right direction. Congrats to Karl Taylor and his assistants in doing a great job so soon!

Next weekend will be the toughest challenge of our young season, playing against two fierce divisional rivals. Western's Coach Singer has brought in a lot of great recruits to an already excellent team and Coach Stenlund's Windsor Lancers also has brought in some great young players. So, this should be a big test for our team, playing three games in three days against two tough opponents!
