We have finished our five pre-season games and the coaching staff now has a better idea what each player's role will be for the upcoming season. Our last game against the University of Manitoba allowed us to evaluate our players against a very tough and skilled hockey team and therefore give us a good overview of everybody's strengthsand areas of improvement.
Mike Self had a great weekend in the hit department against the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks while Matt Kenny played a very good physical game vs the Manitoba Bisons.
We will be hosting Waterloo Warriors on Oct. 24/2 , this will be our home opener and two very big divisional games. Waterloo has hired a full time coach, Head Coach Karl Taylor will be a great asset to their program and bring them to the next level, so we know that Waterloo will be ready for our first Far West Series.
