We played three tough games this past weekend against teams who displayed passion and care for their games. Friday vs. Windsor Lancers: As I had predicted last week, all our Lancer games are played with intensity at the Adie Knox Arena. The Lancers were possessed and displayed excellent discipline towards their game plan and executed their counterattacks with precision. Congrats to Coach Vern Stenlund and all his staff on a job well done!!

Saturday's encounter vs. the Blues was a great defensive battle with both teams playing disciplined hockey and waiting for their opportunities. The Blues battled back with intensity after being down 3-1. Our lack of finish came back to hurt us as we missed glorious scoring chances, and the Blues' goaltender was equal to the task.

Our best-played game was on Sunday, which was our third game in three nights. But our conditioning showed as we dominated from period to period, and actually our PK was excellent in the second period when we were shorthanded for long stretches of time. We were up 5-3 after two and we played the third period in the Blues' zone as we simply got the puck in deep and cycled well. We developed excellent scoring chances and held their counterattack to a minimum. Toronto has a great, hardworking team with lots of discipline; they will have a better second half.

Thanks to all our great fans for their incredible support, Merry Christmas, and see you at the Bell Varsity Cup!!
