Lakehead University Athletics and Head Coach Pete Belliveau are proud to announce that Daniel Rogers has committed to play for the Thunderwolves' Men's Hockey Team. Rogers, from Milton Ontaroi, joins defenseman Matt Jacques of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, defenseman Jeff Whitfield of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and centre Dan Speer of Thunder Bay, Ontario as Lakehead's new recruits for the upcoming season.

Coach Belliveau said Rogers will add more offensive punch to the Lakehead defensive corps. "We are happy to add another offensive d-man to our brigade. Dan has excellent skill and vision and gets the job done quietly in his own way." Rogers played fours seasons in the OHL for the Owen Sound Attack and the Belleville Bulls and played this year for the Junior A Georgetown Raiders who were Ontario Junior A Dudley Hewitt Cup Champions and qualified for the RBC Centennial Cup Championship where they made it to the semi-finals.
