Lakehead Thunderwolves' Men's Hockey Head Coach Pete Belliveau is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dave McCulloch as Goaltender Coach for the 2003-2004 Season. The Thunder Bay native has an impressive coaching resume. He was an assistant coach with the Fort William Canadians, goaltender Coach for provincial champion Thunder Bay Bantam Kings, and a scout for the USHL Junior league. He played AAA hockey from Pee Wee to Midget in Thunder Bay and played Junior A for the Hawksbury Hawkes.

McCulloch said he is looking forward to this new coaching challenge. "I'm very excited about coaching with the Thunderwolves this season and I'm looking forward to working with Grant and Cory. I am a very technical goaltending coach and feel my previous years coaching high level goaltenders will help both goalies bring their game to the next level."

McCulloch attended Lakehead for two years and he played for the Lakehead Men's Club hockey team in 1991. He then transferred to Confederation College in Thunder Bay where he graduated in Business and Marketing.

Head Coach Belliveau said McCulloch is a perfect fit for the Thunderwolves. "We are very happy to be able to add Goaltender coach Dave McCullough to our coaching family, his expertise and work ethic will certainly help both our goaltenders to continue their improvement towards excellence."

McCulloch is married to wife Cindy and the couple have two kids; Camryn and Ryan. He works as an Outside Sales Rep for Acklands-Grainger Industrial Supply in Thunder Bay and likes to play men's recreational hockey in his free time.

Coach Belliveau would also like to thank departing coach Paul Mackett for his dedication and hard work. Mackett has left the team to spend more time with his family.
