Erik Lodge, #5, is a second year defenseman from Red Deer, Alberta. Last year, he was an important part of the Thunderwolves rookie campaign and was the quarterback of Lakehead's deadly powerplay. He was the team's leading scorer among defenseman, and fourth leading scorer on the team. He was as an OUA West Conference Second Team All-Star, and also was namedto the OUA West Conference Rookie Team.

MA: What are your thoughts on the team and the organization in this, its second season?
Lodge: I can really see how much the team has improved from last year.

MA: Do you see any differences between this year's team and last year's?
Lodge: We were the hardest working team last season, I know we could be that
again this season, and also be one of the most skilled teams.

MA: Do you think you have a different role in the team this year?
Lodge: I think it's the same. I need to be a leader on and off the ice.

MA: How do you feel about the team's play against York last weekend?
Lodge: We played well on Friday but looked mentally fatigued on Saturday.

MA: If you had to choose between a one day private lesson with Tiger Woods in golf, or one day private coaching with Bobby Orr, which would you choose and why?
Lodge: I would pick Tiger because my golf game needs a lot more work then my hockey game.

MA: What do you think you can take out of your Thunderwolves experience and put into practice as a teacher?
Lodge: That with hardwork you can accomplish almost anything.

MA: What would be your dream camping trip?
Lodge: Hike into the mountains in Alberta for a week and find the best fishing hole and fish all day long.

MA: What do you really love about playing for the Thunderwolves?
Lodge: Having great guys as teamates and a great atmosphere to play in.

MA: What are your thoughts about the upcoming homestand against Laurier
Lodge: They're going to be like us last year, and work their butts off in this series!

MA: Do you have any message to the Thunderwolves fans?
Lodge: Thank you for making Thunder Bay the best place to play in university hockey.
