Hammond wins Molson Cup for third time

Lakehead Thunderwolves senior forward Mike Hammond (Victoria, BC) is the winner of the Molson Cup trophy for the second year in a row and for the third time in his four seasons with the team.

Molson Cup points are awarded to players that are selected as the Molson Three Stars after Thunderwolves hockey home games. Five points are awarded for a first star selection, three points for a second star, and two points for a third star.

Finishing behind Hammond in second place in the Molson Cup standings is junior Carson Dubchak (Kenora, ON), followed in third position by fifth-year senior Ryan Magill (Thunder Bay, ON). All three players will have their names inscribed on the trophy.

The point totals for the top five finishers in the Molson Cup standings for 2014-15 are:

Hammond will be awarded the trophy in a pre-game ceremony that will include the top three finishers before Lakeheads first home playoff game on February 11.
