Hawks Even Series with 4-2 Win over Wolves

The No. 9 Laurier Golden Hawks defeated the No. 7 Lakehead Thunderwolves 4-2 Friday night at the Waterloo Recreation Complex in Waterloo. The win evens the OUA Semi Final series at one game apiece and sets up the series finale Sunday night at 7:30 pm EST in Waterloo.

Lakehead now has a overall 18-11-2 OUA mark (5-2 playoffs) and 22-17-4 overall, while Laurier is 16-10-3 in OUA play (3-2 playoffs) and 20-14-2 overall. Lakeheads goals came from Jason Lange (Assists Craig Priestlay, Erik Lodge) and Erik Lodge (Assist Lange). Lauriers goals came from Richard Colwill, Evan Weber, Andre Gill, and James Edgar.

Justin Day earned the win for the Hawks and played while Lakehead goalie Chris Whitley also made some good saves. Finals shots were 37-31 for the Golden Hawks.
