Jake Ringuette commits to Lakehead

Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team are pleased to announce that Jake Ringuette has committed to the program.

The 61, 200-pound defenceman from Goderich, Ontario played five years in the OHL, all with the Saginaw Spirit. In his final season, Ringuette scored 9 goals and added 15 assists for 24 points in 65 games.

Ringuette is eager to join the squad in the fall. Im happy to say that I will be a Thunderwolf next season and I'm really excited to be part of this team and the university, he said.

Head Coach Bill McDonald is pleased that Ringuette has chosen Lakehead. Jake is a well-rounded blue-liner who competes at a high level and has the desire to win, McDonald said. "Plus he adds a tremendous amount of depth to our defensive corps.
