Jeff Richards, #9 is a forward from Kenora, Ontario. The first year General Arts student has really found his scoring touch and currently has 10 goals and 7 assists after the first half of the OUA season. The speedy winger also leads the team with 4 game-winning goals.

MA: What are your thoughts on the team now that you have completed the first half of the regular season?
Richards: The team has really come together and the more practice we get through this Christmas break, the better we'll be for the second half of the season.

MA: How do you compare CIS hockey with OHL hockey?
Richards: The competition in the two leagues is the same, most players in the CIS have junior experience, the rules just change the style of play.

MA: How do you think the team has progressed at this point in the season? Any areas to work on?
Richards: The team has progressed well so far, on and off the ice, and continued work on our defense will make us that much better.

MA: What do you think are the reasons behind your recent hot hand in the scoring department?
Richards: I think the adjustment part of changing leagues is over, and the holes are opening up for my whole line.

MA: You mentioned that you like adventure. What type of adventures do you hope to experience in your life?
Richards: I plan to see most of the world shortly after I have finished school, and try out some different culture's past-times and activities.

MA: What do you really love about playing for the Thunderwolves?
Richards: It's great after being on the road trips, and playing in rinks with no atmosphere, to come back here to the atmosphere our fans give us to play in front of.

MA: What do you think about the team's chances in the Bell Canada Varsity Cup?
Richards: The three teams coming here to play are good teams, We have a great chance to win if we play our systems and compete hard.

MA: Do you have any predictions for the second half of the season?
Richards: I think the teams defence will tighten up now that everyone is getting comfortable with the systems, and we'll "officially" beat Western.

MA: Do you have any message to the Thunderwolves fans?
Richards: Congratulations on being the best fans in university hockey, making Thunder Bay a great place to play.
