Lakehead's Captian Jordan King and defenceman Taylor Egan have departed to start their pro careers.

Jordan King has signed on with EG Diez-Limburg of the German 3 League. He has appeared in 5 games and recorded 1 goal and 3 assists.

"We wish Jordan all the best with his opportunity in Germany," said coach Andrew Wilkins, in a release posted to Instagram. "Jordan has been a great teammate over the years and has played some really good hockey for us, most recently our captain and staple at the top of our lineup. Jordan has such great attributes that will set himself up to be successful in his hockey-career and this next chapter of his life."

Taylor Egan meanwhile has signed on with the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL. He is pointless in his 5 appearances with his new club.

"Eags was consistently our hardest working player and a guy we could always rely on. His work ethic and passion for the game was second to none. Taylor has all the skills and ability to have a long career," Wilkins said, adding USports teams lost up to 60 hockey players to the pro ranks during the most recent shutdown.

The Thunderwolves organization would like to thank both players for all thier hard work and dedication and wishes them nothing but the best in the next chapter in thier hockey careers.
