Thunderwolves defenceman Tyler Kunz has decided to leave Lakehead University and move back closer to his hometown of Whitecourt, Alberta. He plans on transferring to a school in the ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference).
Kunz informed Wolves Head Coach Bill McDonald of his decision by phone earlier this week. I wish Tyler the best of luck and appreciate his contribution to our team last year, McDonald said.
Kunz recorded 6 points in 33 games for Lakehead as a freshman this past season.
