The Lakehead University Thunderwolves hockey team is pleased to announce that Chris de la Lande has committed to the program. The 60, 190 pound defenceman from Winnipeg, Manitoba is the Wolves 11th new recruit this year.

Chris de la Lande played three seasons with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League where he totaled 43 points in 183 games. He played his over-age year with the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, where he scored 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points in only 48 games played, and was a finalist for the MJHL Defenceman of the Year award.

Thunderwolves Head Coach Joel Scherban said, "Were excited to have Chris join our program. Hes a defenceman who can play in all situations and will contribute to our team immediately."

Chris de la Lande is excited to be attending Lakehead this fall for several reasons. Ive heard nothing but good things about the Lakehead hockey program and the school. I also really like the Thunder Bay area, and Ive heard that the fans are awesome.
