Lakehead University Athletics is very proud to announce that its annual Lakehead Thunderwolves Athletics Awards ceremony will be videowebcast live on Wednesday, April 4th at 4:00 pm EST.
Lakehead Athletics Director Tom Warden said the awards broadcast is just another step in the evolution of Lakehead Athletics broadcasting. We have been vidcasting all the home games of our major varsity teams for the past two seasons and we thought it was only natural that it was time to broadcast our annual awards ceremony live to parents of the athletes, fans, and alumni who live outside Thunder Bay; as a culmination of our athletics season.
The Lakehead Athletics Awards ceremony will take place on campus for the first time at the Lakehead University Agora and all Lakehead students, staff, and members of the general public are invited to attend. The Awards ceremony will be hosted by womens basketball co-captain Tara Boyce and mens hockey assistant captain Mark Robinson.
Viewers can access the broadcast by going to the Lakehead Athletics site at www.thunderwolves.ca and clicking on the ThunderVision logo at the top right of the main page. Alternatively; viewers can go to http://mediastreamer1.lakeheadu.ca/Awards/ to directly access the broadcast. Viewers of the webcast will need hi speed internet and either Windows Media Player or Quick Time Media Player to watch the event.
The broadcast will be done in cooperation between Lakehead Athletics and the Lakehead Multimedia Department. Lakeheads Multimedia Department has carried the ThunderVision webcasts of Thunderwolves basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and track for the past two seasons.
