Lakehead University Athletics and Thunderwolves Hockey will be holding an Open Forum for Thunderwolves Shareholders, the general public, and the media. The Open Forum will be a dry run of Lakehead's bid for the CIS National Hockey Championships in 2007 and 2008. The Open Forum will be held Thursday, Nov. 25th at 4:00 pm in Room 5035 (5th floor boardroom) of the ATAC Centre on the Lakehead Campus.
Lakehead will be making its official bid presentation on Nov. 29th at 11:00 am to the CIS National Championships Selection Committee at the CIS office in Ottawa. Lakehead is in competition with Universite du Moncton to host the championships.
Lakehead Athletic Director Tom Warden said the forum will give everybody interested an opportunity to understand Lakehead's bid. "Lakehead University and Thunderwolves Hockey is very excited about the potential opportunity of hosting the CIS Hockey Championships in 2007 and 2008. We want to use this Open Forum dry run as a way for our shareholders, fans, and the local media to get a full grasp and awareness of the details of our bid for this prestigious event".
