Lakehead beats long time rival 5-2
The Thunderwolves got out to a quick start in the first period with goals from Olivier Pouliot only 1:03 into the period followed up by Jack Cook shortly afterwards for a 2-0 lead after one.
The Wolves would put up 3 more goals in the 2nd period coming from Nicholas De Grazia, Austin Peters and Jadon Reimer on the powerplay with his first as a Thunderwolve. Western would get one back in the period off the stick of Zach Power. The second period would see tension rise with both teams getting scrappy and combining for 22 minutes in penalties. The teams would head to the intermission with the Wolves up 5-1.
The 3rd period would see Western get a powerplay goal from Owen Saye but it would not get any closer as the Thunderwolves would pick up the 5-2 win.
