Lakehead returned home and enjoyed some home cooking as they downed Brock 7-4 in an action and penalty filled game.

The Badgers opened the scoring in the first frame when Cole Thiessen beat Wolves netminder Max Wright with a shot from the point.

The Wolves would respond :37 later when Tyler Ho's shot goes off the Badgers goalie and hits the defensemen heading toward the net and bounces into the net for Ho's team leading ninth of the season to tie the game up at one.

In the second period the Wolves would get the only goal of the period when Kevin Stiles would finish off a beautiful passing play tipping in Colin Van Den Hurk's point shot to put them up 2-1.

The third period would see plenty of action with both teams combining for eight goals in the frame.

Brock's Ryan Burton of Thunder Bay would tie the game up two minutes in to the period beating Max Wright.

The Wolves would respond scoring three goals in a span of 1:52 when Greg Smith, Kevin Stiles getting his second of the game and Dylan Massie would put the Wolves up 5-2.

Things would get really chippy at the 10:42 mark of the period when a melee would break out after a big cross check was delivered. As a result, eight players were handed a total of 135 minutes in penalties after the dust settled.

Brock would pull their goalie Mario Peccia for the extra attacker while on a powerplay with 13:30 to go in the period Joe Mack would take a Noah Massie pass and bury it into the empty net for the shorthanded goal to increase the Wolves lead to 6-2.

Brock would respond with two late goals by Jared Marino and former Thunderwolves defensemen Caleb Boman.

Griffen Fox would chip in with an empty netter of his own to round out the scoring, making the final 7-4.
