The Lakehead Thunderwolves got 2 big points in win over York

Keighan Gerrie would lead the way with his first hat trick as a Thunderwolve and Christian Cicigoi would stop 32 of 35 shots he faced.

Gerrie would break the ice in the first burying a pass from Josh Van Unen midway through the period.

Spencer Blackwell would find the twine on the powerplay to up the lead to 2-0. York would respond late in the period when CJ Clarke would beat Cicigoi to cut the lead to 2-1 heading into the break.

York wasted no time tying up the game when Ben Evanish would find the back of the net :10 into the second period.

Gerrie find the back of the net for his second of the game shortly after to put the Wolves up 3-2. That would be all the scoring in the frame.

The 3rd period would see Colin Van Den Hurk get on the board on the powerplay and Keighamn Gerrie finishing off the hatty with an empty netter to put the Wolves up for good 5-2

CJ Clarke would net his second for York but would not be enough as your Lakehead Thunderwolves would win 5-3.

Lakehead now turns their attention to the Brock Badgers in a crucial game on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. to conclcude the road trip.
