Lakehead and Laurier played a very tight game defensively tonight and it showed with both netminders standing on there heads and stopping just about everything they saw.

Lakehead would not respond until the 3rd period when Cole Edwards would net his first goal of the season beating Laurier's Dunsmoor to tie the game up.

Laurier would answer back :20 later when Matthew Zebedee would put Laurier back in front 2-1.

Lakehead's Liam Whittaker would score his first goal in a Thunderwolves uniform to send the game into overtime.

In overtime Laurier would end it quickly after Laurier's Sam Rhodes would rush up ice and use the Lakehead defenseman as a screen and wrist home the winner and make the final 3-2 for Laurier.

Lakehead returns home to face off against Guelph on Friday Jan 20th and Laurier on Saturday Jan 21st.
