Lakehead edged by Waterloo in a shootout

Lakehead continued their road trip in Waterloo tonight and were edged in a shootout 5-4.

Waterloo took the early lead when Dan Walker would tip a shot passed Max Wright.

Lakehead would answer midway through the period when Tyler Jette would slap a shot past Waterloo's Dan Murphy.

Waterloo would up the lead quicklyinto the second when Chase Campbell would find the back of the net with a one timer . Both teams would recieve multiple power play chances after that goal and Waterloo would get the first powerplay goal when Dan Walker would get his second oft he game to put Waterloo up 3-1.

Lakehead would get thier powerplay goal when Josh Van Unen would find the twine late in the period to head into the break trailing by one .

The 3rd would see Waterloo go up by two once again when Connor Lovie would beat Wright with a wrist shot.

Lakehead would storm back with two power play goals in a span of thirty three seconds. First Van Unen would net his secondof the game and Tyler Ho would bury a shot from the slot to tie the game up at four.

Overtime would settle nothing so it would go to the shootout and Lakehead's Mack, Pouliot and Griffen Fox would all be stopped by Murphy. Waterloo's Chase Campbell would end the game when he would stickhandle around Wright and slide it in to give the Warriors the win.

Lakehead would out shoot Waterloo 55-46.
