Lakehead starts the second half strong with an overtime win in front of 2114 enthusiastic fans at the Gardens.

Toronto would open the scoring late in the first as Owen Robinson is sprung on a breakaway by Peyton Reeves and made no mistake slipping a wrister past Max Wright.

Lakehead would respond 2:13 later when Kevin Stiles would tip in a Colin Van Den Hurk point shot past Jett Alexander. Ben Badalamenti would get the secondary assist on the goal.

The second period would see plenty of chances for both teams but the defensive play was stellar by both teams and Wright and Alexander were brick walls in between the pipes keeping the score 1-1 after 2 periods.

The third period would see both teams getting very feisty with a skirmish in front of the Toronto net after a Lakehead scoring chance.

The physical play continued through the period as did the stellar defensive play at both ends.

This game would head to overtime where Lakehead's Ben Badalamenti would get sprung by Olivier Pouliot and wired home the winner and sent the fans into a frenzy.

Max Wright would stop 20 of 21 shots in the win and Jett Alexander would stop 34 of 36 shots loss.
