Lakehead loses 4-2 to Brock

The Wolves and Badgers clashed in a do or die game 3 in their first round playoff series Saturday night.

The Wolves would strike first in the opening period when Daltomn MacGillivray would pick up a rebound from a Jadon Reimer point shot and deposited it behind the Bemn Bonisteel to the delight of the 2323 fans in attendance.

The Badgers would respond shortly after when Alexis Cournoyer would pick up his first of the game wristing a shot top shelf on Cherepak to tie the game at 1 a piece heading into the break.

The second period would see the game open up a bit with Lakehead breaking the deadlock quickly into the period off of a turnover in the Brock zone and ripped it past Bonisteel for the 2-1 Lakehead lead. Brock would score the next 3 goals which would come from Alexis Cournoyer with his second of the game, Ryan Johnstone and Ryan Stepien to give the Badgers the 4-2 lead after 2.

In the third the Wolves would get some great chances early on but Ben Bonisteel and the defensive play of the Brock Badgers would hold on to win the game 4-2 and win the series 2-1 which would eliminate the Thunderwolves from the playoffs.
