Lakehead drops first game of the two game road trip 4-1 to TMU.
TMU got the board late in the first on the powerplay off of the stick of William Portokalis for the 1-0 lead. It would take Lakehead until just before the midway poin t of the 2nd to answer back when Wil Murphy would strike short handed off of a pass from Nicholas DeGrazia.
TMU would reply 8 minutes later when Marko Djodjevic would wrist a shot past Carson Cherepak to give the Bold the lead 2-1. They would keep coming in the 3rd only 1:20 into the period Connor Bowie would slip a shot pas Cherepak to give the Bold a 3-1 lead. William Portokalis would score into the empty Lakehead net to seal the 4-1 win for the TMU Bold.
Lakehead was 0/4 on the powerplay and TMU was 1/5. TMU out shot Lakehead 38-21.
