Lakehead dropped the opener of the 2 game series against the Bisons 5-1
The first period would see the Bisons open the scoring five minutes in when Dawson Pastranak would beat Christian Cicigoi to break the ice.
The second period would see the Bisons Tanner Willick strike twice to increase the lead to 3-0 in favour of the Bisons. Lakehead would get on the board when James Fuchs would finish off a pass from Dalton MacGillivray to cut the lead to 3-1.
The third period would see the Bisons add goals from Andrew Boucher and an empty net goal from Jonny Hooker to give the Bisons the win over Lakehead.
Game two of the series goes Saturday Spetember 27th at 11am eastern time.
