Lakehead falls 7-5 to the Laurier Golden Hawks
For the second night in a row the Thunderwolves would give up the first goal to Laurier as Ty Petrou would snap a shot past Christian Cherapak for the early 1-0 lead.
Lakehead would answer back with a powerplay goal from Keighan Gerrie, a shorthanded goal from Josh Van Unen and a second Powerplay goal from Keighan Gerrie for a 3-1 lead after 1.
The Golden Hawks would come back in the second period with goals from Ethan Szabo and a powerplay goal from Max-Antoine Melancon to tie the game at 3-3. But hold on the Wolves would get their second shorthanded goal of the game when Josh Lehto would streak in from the left wing and snap a beautiful shot past Laurier netminder Andrew Ness for a 4-3 Lakehead lead after 2.
The third period would the Laurier Golden Hawks strike four times with the goals coming from David Paglia, Lucas Chard, Max-Antoine Melancon and an empty netter from Thomas Lenart. Lakehead would get a powerplay goal from Caden Drury but it would not be enough as the Wolves would fall 7-5 to Laurier. Lakehead would out shoot Laurier 32-30 in the game.
