Lakehead falls 8-5 in playoff opener to Brock

 Lakehead fell behind early, fought back but ultimately fell short losing 8-5 to Brock in the first round playoff opener.

 Brock’s Tai York opened the scoring 0:22 into the first period and Lakehead would answer back 0:29 seconds later off the stick of Dalton MacGilivray. Brock would get two more goals in the period from Zack Stringer and Kai York with his second of the game.

 The second period would see Brock add two more goals with Zack Stringer picking up his second of the game and Nathan Fox which put Brock up 5-1 after 2.

 Lakehead would put on the rally caps and start chipping away. Nicholas De Grazia would make Thunderwolves history by notching a the fastest hat trick and it consisting all of shorthanded goals to cut the lead to 5-4. Brock would go up 7-4 with powerplay goals from Tai York completing his hat trick and Zack Johnstone. Lakehead would get on back from Olivier Pouliot to cut the lead to 7-5. Brock would seal the game with an empty netter from Rylan Thiessen to make the final 8-5.
