After waiting an extra day to start the series there was plenty of action for a season high 2900 fans to witness.

TMU broke the ice midway through the first when Kevin Gursoy beat Christian Cicigoi glove side from the right faceoff circle.

Lakehead would answer back 1:04 later when Spencer Blackwell would slide one past Garrett Forrest.

However TMU would answer right back on the powerplay when Kyle Bollers would one time an Aaron Hyman pass past Cicgoi for his first of the game to put TMU up by one.

TMU would add one more before the break when Elijah Roberts would score from the slot.

The second would see TMU's Kyle Bollers score his second of the game on the powerplay, Lakehead's Josh Van Unen would reply with a goal of his own to bring the Wolves within one but Will Portokalis would score one shorthanded to make it 5-2.

Before the period was out there would be 30 min in penalties handed out after a scrum broke out in front of the penalty box.

The third frame would see Keighan Gerrie and Tyler Ho strike for the Wolves to bring them within one but Kyle Bollers would complete the hat trick tapping the puck into the empty net to seal the game for TMU 6-4.

Molson 5 Forks 3 Stars are:

  1. Kyle Bollers - TMU
  2. Keighan Gerrie - Lakehead
  3. Josh Van Unen - Lakehead

Lakehead and TMU will finish the series up Sunday at 12pm at the Fort William Gardens.
