Lakehead gives Toronto the Blues

Lakehead showed up ready to play as they overpowered Toronto Varsity Blues 6-2.

Lakehead wasted no time getting on the board as JOe MAck won a faceoff to the left of Jett Alexander and Van Unen fired a shot on net and Pouliot burieda big rebound to break the ice.

Lakehead would strike midway through the period when Ed McNiell would knock the puck off of a Toronto forwards stick and Dylan Massie would bury his shot to up the lead to 2.

Toronot's Nick Grima would respond shortly after to cut into Lakehead's lead heading into the break.

Lakehead's Nicolas De Grazia and Keighan Gerrie would score :19 seconds apart to up Lakehead's lead to 4-1.

Lakehead would get a penalty shot when Josh Van Unen would get hauled down on a breakaway. He would find twine on the afore mentioned penalty shot to up Lakehead's lead to 5-1

Dylan Massie would net his second of the game 1:30 after Van Unen's penalty shot to seal the game for the Wolves.

Toronto woiuld get a late goal from Nick Grima his second of the game to cut the lead to 6-2.

With 3:40 remaining in the game Colin Van Den Hurk would fire a shot over the net a shatter a pane of glass which would cause a lengthy delay in the game.

Lakehead would hold on for the 6-2 win.
